Barry of old returns with 2 homers!
Not the first time "Barry" and "old" have been used in the same sentence....

Ping! Ping!

The Rogues' massive turnaround continues as a win over Mr. Electric puts them 3-1 in 4 games in August. The wheels got the job done in the first as Rob reached on error, and Mike hit a gapper to left center that JUST got by the CF to the warning track. On his horse, Mikey rounded the bases for an in-the-park home run, giving the Rogues a 2-0 lead. With two outs, Nick reached ona base hit, and Emmerson went deep for his first of two on the night, giving the Marv a comfortable lead to work with.

Marv took them down in order in the first. After that, things went into auto-pilot for 2 more innings. Mr. Electric clawed back and scored 4 runs in the 4th to tie the game. Top of the 5th, and the Rogues bats woke up again. Marv and Chuck hit back to back singles with one out, then after Nick lined out to center, Barry hit his second dinger over the RF fence to give us an 8-4 lead. Marv surrendered one run in the 5th but maintained the lead.

Rogues would score no more runs, and Cox shut down the Mr. Electric hitters in the 6th and 7th for the save. Throwing all 7 for Mr. Electric was Rogues spare Nick Bowman. Despite the conflict of interest, Rogues allowed Bowman to start this game.

With the win, and losses from GOB and Goodfellows, the Rogues still have a shot at passing both teams, but will need to win their next 2 games to do so. Next up are the GOB on Tuesday, followed by the Guzzlers on Sunday.
